About Forever Care
Helping Atlanta’s IDD Community Live Fully Since 2012
Forever Care Inc. was founded by a group of volunteers, healthcare professionals, and families who believed people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) deserved more than institutions — they deserved real homes, real friendships, and real opportunities.
Today, we provide daily support that helps individuals live safely, build skills, and thrive as active, valued members of their communities across Metro Atlanta. Our focus is on creating choice, belonging, and independence at every step.

Our Mission and Values
We believe everyone deserves:
1
Safety and Respect
Every person deserves a safe, trusted place to call home.
2
Choice and Voice
Individuals and families guide their own services and goals.
3
Belonging and Growth
Through real community connections, people can find purpose, friendships, and pride.
We’ve provided over 100 million hours of care, helping people with IDD live safely in caring homes 365 days a year. This includes giving daily medicine to those with complex behaviors and health needs.
Meet Our Leadership
Our volunteer Board of Directors ensures Forever Care stays true to its mission. They set clear goals, oversee resources, and make decisions that reflect the community’s needs.

The organization is governed by the Board of Directors, which is composed of individuals who work without compensation on behalf of the members. The Board operates as a policy-making entity, utilizing the Policy Governance® model, in order to effectively fulfill the legal and moral responsibilities of governing an organization as large and complex as Forever Care Inc. The Board's primary focus is on determining agency outcomes. We achieve this by establishing "ends" policies that specify the individuals whose lives our organization should impact, the categories of distinctions that should be made, and the cost or priority associated with these changes. We will be able to establish expectations that are in accordance with the aspirations of our community by understanding your values in these areas.
